We Help You Prepare For Change

No one plans to fail! Yet many fail to plan!

In today’s digitally transforming world, it’s important to have a vision and executable plan to support new ways in conducting and improving your business. We assess, create and justify a specific IT Strategic Roadmap to modernize your processes with appropriate tech while also ensuring that your end users can actually adopt these changes over time. After all, digital transformation really includes organizational transformation too. Hence our efforts focus on both the various organizational users and their devices as well as the many business applications and how they are secured, protected, hosted and managed. Various cloud technologies play a big part in these improvements and we help to identify which of these make the best sense for your organization and in what sequence.

We deliver our IT Strategic Roadmaps in 3 stages so clients can best choose the advice they need to advance their cause based on their size, IT complexity or desired focus for solving a particular challenge. Previously collected data by IT departments, an MSP or third party can sometimes be leveraged as input to the strategy while not all organizations require a full baseline cost comparison in justifying the change. Smaller organizations can often gain great value from the recommendations of an assessment alone without the effort of a full blown strategic roadmap. Regardless of your situation, we’re here to help you succeed and have the experience and passion to do so!

Assessments and Surveys

What needs solving and is your company ready to change?

Driving change starts with understanding the current environment’s strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) with identified desirable business outcomes. We conduct productivity and technology assessments to determine the best course of action specific to your situation including opportunities to improve staff workflows, IT system performance, security risks, and the potential impact of system outages to your business. We also determine the readiness of your organization for that transition with a communications and training plan. Both technical scans and workshop sessions are conducted to collect the required data while surveys are leveraged to ensure broader feedback and gain support for those up coming changes. Diagnostic survey programs collect data from you and your stakeholders. Using Info-Tech’s powerful analytic engines, Thinkwise builds reports that help your IT department make critical decisions.

IT & Cloud Strategy

the foundation
of a modern, digital business

Strategy is your plan of action designed to achieve a major aim like digital transformation in your organization. But what is “digital transformation”? We think its a combination of various cloud based technologies while still leveraging viable on premise capabilities combined with organizational transformation (ie user adoption). Changing how people do things is critical for success. Gartner estimates that less than one-third of enterprises have a documented IT Cloud strategy, yet cloud is the foundation of a modern, digital business. Thinkwise helps you to clearly define the business outcomes you seek and how you are going to get there. Specifically, we help you to create an action plan with a conceptual architecture along with budget estimates and a schedule of business benefits to achieve over time.

Strategic elements to include for end users (not all will apply to every organization):

  • Productivity - enabling easier sharing of ideas, files, status and feedback across projects, departments and teams.

  • Mobility - ensuring security of data, identities and devices regardless of ownership, location and worker type.

  • Front Line Workers - how to better engage and schedule those that don’t have a desktop within the organization.

  • Unified Collaboration - bringing together voice/video/web conferencing, fax and long distance to any device, any where, easily.

  • Flexible Networking - enabling workers moving between offices, sites, home and on the road while being internet efficient.

  • Office Automation/Reporting - reducing manual tasks and spreadsheet sprawl while getting key data into the hands of key users.

  • Digital Workspace - unify the knowledge workers experience accessing applications or desktops securely, from any where, across any device.

  • Protection and Recovery - from ransomware risks in email, web browsing and unpatched desktop apps as well as from user error.

  • Security - improving identities and passwords with multi-factor authentication across all devices & applications.

  • Service Desk - how users obtain ongoing support as well as measurement of incidents and problems for improvement purposes.

Strategic elements to include for business applications (not all will apply to every environment):

  • Disaster Recovery - cost effective with cloud based backups and live replicas to ensure your business can survive anything!

  • Application Performance - avoid hardware sizing constraints, upgrade costs and migration efforts with limitless cloud scale.

  • Infrastructure Upgrades - are server and database versions at vendor supported levels with the latest security levels installed?

  • Hosting - justify public/hybrid cloud services over colo or your own data center facilities to save you time, effort and capital.

  • Service Levels - validate IT operations or MSP outsourcer have the right skills, costs and processes to succeed.

  • Management - determine what’s required to track/monitor/patch/control/secure your IT services effectively.

  • Policy and Governance - ensuring the proper controls are in place on cost, risk management and how IT is managed and operated.

  • Agile Development - enabling innovation speed and flexibility with a “try fast, fail fast, learn and improve” devops approach.

  • Digital Foundation - gain future abilities for artificial intelligence (AI), analytics and Internet of Things (IoT).

Business Justification

Estimate, Baseline, Compare.

It’s not enough to just determine your Strategic Plan with estimates, rather a comparison of new state versus existing baseline costs should be conducted to validate recommendations and justify investments to the leaders of your organization. It is recommended that these comparisons be over a 5 year or longer period to take into account the ongoing upgrades and migrations that on-premise hardware solutions require.
